My graphic-design experience stems from my role as an in-house designer, which began in 2016 at a t-shirt printing shop and continued in 2017 at a sticker company through 2023. Over that time I worked my way up from production artist to design manager and ultimately served as Lead Graphic Designer for the company. That progression gave me direct, hands-on experience in every aspect of a designer’s workload — from art production and conceptualization to project leadership and client management. For years my daily job centered on developing creative, practical solutions for CEOs, art directors, sales reps, and clients who wanted to see their ideas fully realized. That process regularly involved researching the client’s business, applying their logos and brand elements, accounting for specifics about their locations and customer base, and producing relevant, polished designs for production. I have experience working with both large corporations and small business owners, navigating strict brand guidelines when required as well as exercising artistic freedom when appropriate. Among the top clients I worked with were Ron Jon Surf Shop® and Coors® Brewing, for whom I created custom art and prepared and handled final art files for production on our machines.

I managed and directed the department’s workloads and deadlines, ensuring projects moved smoothly from brief to delivery. I translated instructions from the CEO and sales representatives into clear, actionable guidance for the design team. I oversaw art production for products, tradeshow assets, print advertisements, and development of new creative work.
For production purposes, I delegated daily tasks to designers, prioritized orders by due dates and ship times, and coordinated between admins and designers on custom art requests that often accompanied standard orders. I helped integrate legacy assets with new logos and themes to maintain brand consistency.
When we developed new art for the market, I kept the team focused on research and concept development, held daily virtual team meetings, and reported progress to the CEO and the acting art director. I contributed my own artwork and supported other designers, mentoring and guiding them to deliver successful creative additions.

Along with my supervisory responsibilities, I was also tasked with developing new artwork and applying customizations for logos and sales proposals. Over the years I have accumulated extensive daily design experience and countless color trials. I was one of the primary contributors to the Steamboat Sticker’s art line, helping shape its visual direction. Through careful research and sound design principles, I have produced hundreds of designs tailored to a wide range of locations and activities. I consistently combine creative thinking and fresh ideas with audience research to produce targeted, effective designs.

I currently work as a graphic designer for a publishing company, where I’m responsible for laying out and producing several newspapers. I handle all new ad creation and special printed sections, and I also contribute short-form social media content to the company’s Facebook page.
